2024 JEWELLERY TRENDS: MIXED METALS

Are you looking to add a modern twist to your jewellery collection? Mixed metal jewellery might be the perfect choice for you. Designer and Director of F+H Studios, Sharona Harris, talks about one of this years biggest jewellery trends, mixed metals.

"I have been working in the jewellery industry for over a decade now and it always has surprised me how many of my customers were afraid to change or experiment with different metals. However now with the mixed metal trend in full swing for 2024 this will hopefully give people the confidence to have more fun and mix things up with their styling.

One of the main reasons for the popularity of mixed metal jewellery is its versatility. By combining different metals, you can easily mix and match your pieces with any outfit. This trend allows you to create a personalized and eclectic look that reflects your individual style." explains Sharona.

When talking about what tones of gold will work Sharona advises, "F+H Studios uses beautiful complimentary tones of 18K gold and 925 sterling silver, which mixes easily. Darker tones of gold such as 24K are more contrasting, however the key to this season's trend is to not over think it.

Sharona's top tips for mixing metals;

- Don't overthink it, play with your look and layer your favourite pieces.

- This look does work best using plain metal pieces, or by keeping gemstones and colour details to a minimum.

- If you want to incorporate gemstones and colour into your mixed metal look, keep the colours tonal and matching.

- Rings are a fun way to start, mixing gold and silver rings is an easy way to wear this look.

Whether you're dressing up for a special occasion or adding a touch of glamour to your everyday look, mixed metal jewellery is a versatile and on-trend option. Embrace this modern trend and elevate your style with the beauty of mixed metals.
